Achieving my first podium finish at a major IBJJF event just before the onset of COVID-19 was a defining moment in my journey. Going into the European championships with a fearless mindset, I felt no nerves, only determination to perform at my best. With each bout, I gained momentum, eventually reaching both the weight and open class finals, where I proudly earned double silver medals.

This experience was transformative, instilling in me a newfound belief in my capabilities as a champion. Little did I know, shortly after this peak, COVID-19 struck, disrupting my training and competition plans indefinitely.

Despite this setback, I remain steadfast in my commitment to excel in my sport. The lessons learned and the confidence gained during that unforgettable competition continue to fuel my drive. As I eagerly await the opportunity to resume my journey, I am more determined than ever to pursue my goals with unwavering passion and dedication.

Following my promotion to Brown belt, I faced several years of striving without achieving gold at major tournaments. The disappointment was profound when I settled for silver at my first Pans competition—I questioned whether I was fulfilling my potential and if I needed to mature as a competitor.

Despite entering the open class with wavering motivation, fate intervened, propelling me to the final where a decisive back take positioned me for victory. The moment my opponent tapped out was pure elation—I had secured gold, achieving a flawless 100% success rate and firmly establishing my presence in the sport. This triumph declared to all that I am a formidable competitor not to be underestimated.

This was the defining moment of when I committed to pursuing my dream of becoming a black belt world champion.

2023 I approached my second Pans with some uncertainty, having trained outside of my usual preparation. Despite initial doubts, I pushed myself to defend my title, to keep my position as the top-ranked Brown belt conquering the double gold and the Pan Americans.

Transitioning seamlessly from Pans to Worlds, I felt more prepared than ever after staying in America to train at my home gym, Atos. The dedicated training camp culminated in winning gold at Worlds, affirming my readiness to face any challenger. Each setback along the journey served as a stepping stone towards achieving even sweeter victories, reinforcing my resilience and drive.

Now, having been promoted to Black belt, my focus shifts entirely to the elite levels of competition. Past achievements are a testament to my journey, but my sights are firmly set on future challenges and opportunities ahead.
